Legislative Update Week of January 18th
3rd Week of the 2010 Legislative Session
This week at the New Hampshire Legislature was filled with preliminary hearings on some very important bills. President Lang testified on behalf of PFFNH in front of multiple House and Senate Committees on a wide range of issues including a bill to make tax caps easier to implement (HB1552), ³right to work² legislation (HB 1645 ), a bill that would remove all pay other than base pay from employees earnable compensation (HB 1530), a bill to study 911 response times (SB 428) and legislation addressing those who work in pensionable jobs and do not contribute to the NH Retirement System (HB 1576). It was a hectic week! These bills will be assigned to subcommittees and scheduled for executive session very soon. We will keep you updated on their status as we know more.

Executive session on HB 1645 relative to employee choice to join a labor union or ³right to work²
