This week was the opportunity PFFNH had to appear in front of House committees and testify on bills introduced in the Senate. President Lang appeared before House ED& A to testify in favor of SJR2, which is a resolution that endorses an employee run Retiree Medical Trust. House ED&A also heard testimony on SB 504, which would push out the effective date of the 125% rule to July 1 2011. President Lang also testified in favor of SB 428, a bill sponsored by Senator DeVries that would establish a legislative committee to study response times of the 911 system. We¹ll be looking forward to executive session on all of these bills.
As our email to all members earlier this week stated SB 489, which would expand gambling in New Hampshire, was heard this week also. The hearing was packed and lasted the entire day. There is a work session for the committee this upcoming week and it would be very helpful for them to hear from gambling supporters about your support for the bill. You can get the committees emails here
